This amazingly beautiful picture of me was taken in front of the main altar at World Youth Day 2005 in Koln, Germany. I bought the t-shirt near the cathedral in Koln and I'm wearing it again today, although today (3 years later) it doesn't quite cover my prego belly.
Funny story about the t-shirt. I was with my friend Tatjana while shopping for it and she, a native of Germany, would translate t-shirt slogans as needed. So when I got to this one I asked her, "What does it say?"
"It says 'Believe.'"
"Really?!! Oh!"
And then I realized that she wasn't translating - it's written in English.

As soon as you hold your little one in your arms, you'll know staying home is the right thing to do... And then when she screams and cries for hours a day, you'll start looking for a job. And then when she falls asleep on your chest at night, your heart will feel like it's going to burst, and you'll never think about working again....until the next evening, when you're still in your pj's, haven't showered all day and are covered in smelly baby puke and other unidentifiable stains.
It's a never-ending cycle, but nonetheless, it's one full of love and pleasant (and not-so-pleasant) memories! When it comes down to it, I wouldn't change being a stay at home mom for the world. (A sleeping fuzzy-headed baby on your chest at the end of the day, certainly does make it all worth while!)
