I'm a Catholic, stay-at-home mom. My awesome husband and I have five
children: one in Heaven, one on the way, and three more wandering around my house, probably
eating pretzels they found under the couch. Here at Learning to Be a Newlywed I write about the joys and struggles of motherhood, natural family planning, marriage, and living out my Catholic faith. Just like the name says, I'm learning what God wants my vocation to look like while I work out my salvation with fear and trembling. While I do consider myself a mommy blogger please know that I'm not crafty, I don't have a nice camera, and my home doesn't look like something from a magazine. But I do make a great chocolate chip cookie.
I am the Associate Director of Behold: A Catholic Conference on the Dignity and Vocation of Women, an annual conference for all women. We offer nationally known speakers, relevent topics, Mass, Eucharistic adoration, confession, delicious food, music, and a chance for women to be celebrated and honored. You should come! Really!
Lastly, you may be familiar with the story of my son, James Fulton, and his alleged miraculous healing through the intercession of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen. If you're not I strongly encourage you to read the following links :
James Fulton
this thing that I fear
the long awaited MRI results are in
my thoughts on the alleged miracle
So in the end what I really want to say is *Thanks for stopping by* and I hope you feel very welcome here.
P.S. The truth is, it's an old picture. I haven't been that thin in about 4 years, and I recently cut 11" off my hair, and I mostly wear glasses nowadays as pregnancy has changed the shape of my eyes and we're too poor for me to buy new contacts. So really I look nothing like that anymore, but once I did and that should count for something.

Oh my gosh, I love the PS. Me too, with my pictures. I usually only post the good ones my photographer sis-in-law has kindly airbrushed for me.
I just stumbled across your blog (was looking for reviews of the Catholic Icing preschool curriculum:). I think your blog is great and I think you are beautiful. Thanks for blogging and for sharing your bold and joyful faith. God bless you and your sweet family! :)
